I really like your Blue Moon theme, and I tried it on my site, but no matter what change I make the header title still shows Blue Mood WordPress Theme.

Any thoughts? I even have a screenprint of my custom header changes in the Blue Mood admin, but I didn’t see how to attach it.

Thanks for the reply. Without sounding lazy, would you mind sharing your source for the options page. I know you said you can’t remember the theme’s name. Would your Blue Moon theme have these options?

Basically, I’m not a php guy but can hack my way around wp loops. However, I’d love the ability to be able to change headers, put Adsense on certain pages or posts, stuff like that.

Is it best to download one/all of your themes and just look at how you added the code in functions.php and the relevant pages, like page/single/index.php? It sounds like you create arrays then add a line of php to where that array will output html…is that more or less it?

Sorry for the long set of Q’s. Basically, I’m looking to learn more about tweaking and creating options pages without getting lost in the code! lol

I usually spend a half hour to an hour (max) getting the layout, fonts etc the way I want. Once I export the theme, I almost never go back to Artisteer. I adjust everything in the CSS file.

As for the options page, I dumped Artisteer’s a long time ago. I use the options page from some open source theme that I can’t even remember the name of anymore. Plus the Blue Moon options work with WP 2.9. The Artisteer options page has a problem with latest version of WP, it adds extra backslashes every time you save the options which really messes up the footer links.

Found your site from the Artisteer forum. I just wanted to thank you for your explanations/tips/tutorials on creating Theme Options, as well as widgets! Very cool. I’m not a programmer but have had my fair share of hacking at WP hooks, php, etc. I feel a little more confident with your short tutes.

Were you inspired by the Mandigo theme btw?

Also, how much time do you spend on your themes in Artisteer? Is it a quick job then you spend the majority of time tweaking/customizing?
